一般的な燃料噴射装置（ボッシュなど）のディーゼルエンジンとちがいGMの２サイクルエンジンはインジェクターがガバナーでコントロールされて燃料を制御している為ポンプはシリンダーヘッドまで燃料を送っているに過ぎません。MTU2000シリーズなどのEUPを持つタイプもポンプはこれと同じような比較的簡単な構造です。ただし油がもれたり圧力が落ちたりすれば不具合が生じます。
外観はこんな感じ。GMではブロワーに、MTU2000ではエンジンの右側下側面についています。
A method is different from the diesel engine of the general fuel injection device (boshs).
As for the 2 cycles engine of GM, an injector is controlled with a governor and controls fuel.
Therefore the pump sends fuel to a cylinder head.
